“Celebrate endings -for they precede new beginnings.”
~Jonathan Hui
Happy New... Endings?
Endings. The word itself can feel heavy—tinged with sadness, nostalgia, and the quiet ache of letting go. We often think of endings as losses: the close of a relationship, a job, a season of life. Yet every beginning we celebrate, like the arrival of a New Year, is only possible because something else has gently come to a close.
We eagerly welcome fresh calendars, clean slates, and hopeful resolutions, but we don’t always pause to acknowledge what we’re leaving behind. What if, instead of rushing forward, we took a moment to thank the year that has passed —for its lessons, its challenges, and even for the ways it stretched us when things didn’t go as planned?
Most endings feel unbearable while we’re inside them. They can seem final, overwhelming, and endlessly sad. And yet, with time and distance, we often discover that those very endings were quiet thresholds—doorways into growth, clarity, and new chapters we couldn’t yet imagine.
As this new year begins, may we honor any endings with compassion, and step into what’s next with trust.
Enjoy this example of one of the exercises from the course: What threshold might you be standing on? What is a subtle - or maybe sharp - shift that's acting as a shaping force in your life right now? Do a little writing - or doodling if that's more your style about what you perceive as a change rising on the horizon of your life.
A conversation between Andrea and Barbara about the "WHY" behind their digital starter course, "Picking Up The Pieces and Moving On" to be released in January 2026. Take a listen now to discover how we humans are 'meaning-making machines' and how we can learn our way out of a crisis by tapping into the traits we all possess within us.
As the year winds down and a new one begins, it’s the perfect time to pause, reflect, and reimagine. If you’ve felt stuck, scattered, or simply in need of direction, our course, "Picking Up the Pieces and Moving On", was created for you. Rooted in psychology and infused with creativity, this beautifully designed digital experience will help you make sense of the past and step into the future with renewed clarity and confidence.
You’ll receive expert guidance from Dr. Andrea Gould-Marks, Ph.D., and Barbara Peters, MBA—two compassionate women who know firsthand what it means to navigate transitions with grace and grit. This course isn’t just information—it’s transformation. Through powerful metaphors like Kintsugi (golden repair) and your unique Mosaic Path, you’ll uncover hidden wisdom, build emotional resilience, and reconnect with what truly matters to you.

From Poland to Arizona: Life's Mosaic Journey
~ Barbara Peters
I was born where the road was dust— Janowicze— a handful of houses, and left at five in a horse-drawn cart, the smell of hay and hope mixed together.
We rolled toward Białystok, where the world began to widen, and I first learned that leaving is another name for beginning.
Healing insights + useful tools for the human journey.

“Count your life by smiles, not tears. Count your age by friends, not years.” ~Unknown Friendships: AI & IRL (In Real Life) Why do friendships matter so much? Long before we understand psychology or relationships, we instinctively reach for one another. Children form friendships over crayons, soccer balls, mud pies, and shared imagination. Somewhere deep within us is the understanding that life is meant to be experienced together. As adults, friendship becomes more complicated. Careers...
Dear ones, as the year winds down and we all get swept into the rush of the holiday season, we want to make sure you pause for a little self-care and reflection. It's a tender time to check in with yourself, breathe deeply and create small moments of calm amid the bustle. With that in mind, we've gathered a few ideas, inspirations, and offerings to help you nurture and entertain your spirit as we close out the year. ~Andrea & Barbara What We're Reading: Upon recommendation, we’re looking...
Whew! We have been hard at work with the launch of our first digital course released last month. We hope you are among the first group who got a spot!
